Why do I write?

It was supposed to be "What do I write", but I like to complicate things from time to time.
I'll still try to to keep it simple. I have always been a fan of stories, and storytelling. It started with a family friend gifting me a book when I was 7 years old. A few years went by, and I ended up reading many books while ignoring the few friends I had.
I also got introduced to cinema as a child. I was 2 years old when I watched a film for the first time in my life. It was Dil Chahta Hai, and I could not understand why my mother and her family chose to ignore me and focus on three men on a television screen instead. Since then, I have rewatched Dil Chahta Hai multiple times, along with a lot of other films I kept stumbling upon.

Cinema became a fixation, right from indulging in Bollywood as a child, to engaging with movements of World Cinema in college - giving me a window into different cultures and communities at various points in time. An amalgamation of multiple art forms, it is inherently collaborative, and holds the power to validate as well as challenge all kinds of ideas by relying on the universality of visual language. I was lucky enough to experience this during multiple college projects.

This website is where you can find my projects, and my desire to be a part of multiple meaningful collaborations.
I work in advertising for a living, and write outside of work to make sense of things. I click photographs when my words get boring. But if you aren't bored yet, then reach out to me - and we'll have a good time collaborating!
